The region of Prescott-Russell is made up of 8 municipalities with a population of 74,000. Among them, there might be a parent, a friend, a neighbor who needs your help to deal with poverty, isolation, violence, illness, etc. This is why United Way Prescott-Russell works all over the area, its objective being to bring support and comfort where needed.
Our mission is to collect enough money to ensure the well being of the people of our community. Every year United Way, with the help of volunteers, organizes a huge campaign to raise money in order to reduce violence, organize prevention activities for children and youth, help someone in crisis, facilitate the life of a handicapped person, break isolation, offer food to those unable to get out of their home, and in many more ways. United Way redistributes the amount it collects to various community organizations in Prescott-Russell.
The donors are the heart of our mission. With a simple gesture of generosity they contribute to the physical and mental well being of our community.
Some people give their time, others give money, and some are pampered by life while others aren’t, but everyone is united by the will to change things.
